Neil Sparey and the mower boys of Clifton had a good go at the World land speed record for a mower last weekend. got within 1mph of the record .using a slightly modified Allett mower (with one of our 850 Reliant Tempest engines) they pulled away from the chase vehicle at 105mph, but before getting a offical recorded time (avarage speed over a mile) hit the timing lights/cones going into a quick run .
with a wheel hanging off and the tide coming in thery called it a day and will be back next year.

another one of ours (just a shell ,so dont worry havent cut up a good van) caused loads of interest with the local papers, the Mirror and BBC breakfast radio picking up on it .
